On a spring day in Albany, Missouri, a welfare check on May 9, 2026, led to a grim discovery at a residence on 7th Street. Inside, authorities found 64-year-old Paula M. Kohrs deceased, along with 69-year-old Perry S. Kohrs. The Gentry County Sheriff's Office responded to the home at 11:21 a.m. and, upon discovering the scene, requested the assistance of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control to investigate the shooting.
