On the evening of March 29, 2026, a burst of gunfire shattered the night in an East Baltimore neighborhood, leaving a young man clinging to life. Shawn Hicks Jr., a 22-year-old Black male, was discovered by police officers in the 1400 block of N. Bond Street with a critical gunshot wound. The incident occurred at approximately 9:50 p.m., and first responders rushed Hicks to a nearby hospital.
