In the spring of 2026, the life of a 50-year-old woman, Monica Olivarez Hughes, was brought to a tragic and violent end in her Houston, Texas apartment. The events that concluded with her death began to unfold on the evening of March 29th, when neighbors heard the chilling sound of gunshots emanating from her residence at 2831 Laura Koppe Road. Shortly after the shots were heard, a man, believed to be Monica's boyfriend, was seen leaving the apartment alone.
