Shekera Elder, a 38-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on September 11, 2021, in Houston, Texas. She was fatally shot in the front passenger seat of a vehicle at an apartment complex on Homestead Road. The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m., and Shekera was pronounced dead at the scene. A third person, a female, was also wounded by the gunfire but survived with non-life-threatening injuries.
