Phillippa Dever, a 31-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life on April 12, 2017. She was fatally shot during a drive-by shooting while riding in a car with two friends. The incident occurred when a small white sedan pulled alongside their vehicle and the occupants started shooting. Dever, who was in the backseat, succumbed to her injuries, while the front passenger was also shot and taken to a nearby hospital.
