In the fall of 1996, the small community of McLean, New York, was shattered by the brutal murder of 16-year-old Sarah Hajney. On October 4, 1996, Sarah, a vibrant high school cheerleader, and her close friend Jennifer Bolduc, also 16, vanished while house-sitting at Sarah's home. The girls were reported missing when they failed to show up for school, sparking a frantic search that ended in unimaginable horror.
