On a seemingly ordinary Wednesday morning, June 9, 2004, the life of Yvonne Leila Torch, a 31-year-old Caucasian wife and mother of two, was brutally cut short. The vibrant hairdresser was discovered murdered inside her own business, the 'His and Hers Hair Salon' on Route 9W in the Balmville area of Newburgh, New York.
