In the spring of 2026, the life of 18-year-old Joel Terrell was tragically cut short in Jackson, Mississippi. On the evening of April 8th, Terrell was inside a residence in the 900 block of Valencia Street with three other individuals when violence erupted. Multiple gunshots were fired into the home, striking Terrell and a female victim.
Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and both injured parties were transported to a local hospital.
The female victim's injuries were considered non-life-threatening. However, Terrell was in critical condition. Despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries two days later, on April 10, 2026.
