On the morning of November 24, 2025, Jackson police were called to the 5700 block of Gault Street after reports of a shooting. Officers arrived around 8:27–8:30 a.m. and found Andrew Knight Jr, a 49-year-old man, lying on the front porch of a home that authorities described as his residence.
