In the early morning hours of April 13, 2026, Tony Matthews, a 48-year-old man, was sleeping outside a Kroger grocery store on Peachtree Road in Brookhaven, Georgia. His reasons for being there were a mystery to his family, who insisted he was not homeless but a hardworking welder and a devoted family man.
