In the late hours of Thursday, April 23, 2026, the life of 22-year-old Dwayne Isaacs was cut short by gunfire in Southeast Washington, D.C. A resident of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Isaacs was discovered by Seventh District officers around 10:11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Wheeler Road, Southeast, after they responded to a report of a shooting. He was found unconscious, not breathing, and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene, but despite their life-saving efforts, Isaacs succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead. The Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch is actively investigating the case. Known in the local music scene as a rapper named HavinMotion, Dwayne Omar Isaacs, Jr.
was just beginning to make a name for himself.
