In the quiet neighborhood of Verde Gardens in Homestead, Florida, the life of 17-year-old Trashawn Foster was tragically cut short on the evening of Friday, April 24, 2026. Around 6 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the peace near a park at the intersection of Southwest 282nd Street and 125th Avenue. When Miami-Dade Sheriff's deputies arrived at the scene, they found Foster suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal.
