In the early hours of Sunday, March 29, 2026, the life of 25-year-old Keshawn Almond was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Evansville, Indiana. The incident occurred at the Neighbor's Keeper Apartments located off South Weinbach Avenue. Officers from the Evansville Police Department were dispatched to the apartment complex around 9:45 a.m. following reports of shots fired. Upon their arrival, they discovered Keshawn Almond inside an apartment, having succumbed to his injuries.

Following the discovery, law enforcement officials began a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Detectives canvassed the area, speaking with neighbors and other potential witnesses to piece together the events that led to the fatal encounter.
