In the early hours of Tuesday, March 31, 2026, the quiet of a Goldsboro, North Carolina neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to reports of a shooting, officers from the Goldsboro Police Department arrived at Hollowell Street around 12:45 a.m. to find a man suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as 37-year-old Otavis Gerquel McKinnon, a male resident of Goldsboro.
