In the early afternoon of April 3, 2026, a verbal dispute in the 7800 block of Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge escalated into deadly violence. Roderick Williams, a 41-year-old man, was shot multiple times. Emergency services were called to the scene around 3:00 p.m., and Williams was rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries.
