In the early hours of a Friday morning in Austin, Texas, the life of 35-year-old Joshua Williams, a Black man, was cut short by gunfire. On April 3, 2026, at approximately 12:42 a.m., Austin Police Department officers were dispatched to the 10900 block of Brazoria Lane in the northwest part of the city after receiving a report of shots fired. The 911 call was made by Williams' girlfriend, who tragically reported that her boyfriend had been shot.
