On April 10, 2026, 28-year-old Martavious Langford, a male from Montgomery, was shot in broad daylight in the 1000 block of West South Boulevard, near Interstate 65. According to local reporting, the shooting happened just after 12:30 p.m., with one outlet placing the first call at 12:26 p.m. Officers arrived to find Langford suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds.
