In the quiet darkness of a February night in Blakeslee, Pennsylvania, the life of Joanne Beauvais, a 45-year-old woman of proud Haitian descent, was brought to a tragic and senseless end. On the evening of February 26, 2026, she was found dead in the driveway of a residence on Mountain Terrace Drive, her car still running nearby. An autopsy would later confirm she died from multiple gunshot wounds, and her death was officially ruled a homicide.
