In the early morning hours of March 1, 2026, a large gathering in Fort Worth, Texas, turned tragic, ending the life of 19-year-old Lyndon Carlise Clay. The gathering, located in the 1200 block of NW 35th Street, not far from the Fort Worth Meacham International Airport, was disrupted by an altercation that escalated in the parking lot. Gunfire erupted, striking Clay in the chest and injuring two other individuals.
Fort Worth police officers responded to the scene at approximately 3:40
a.m. and discovered Clay with a gunshot wound. Despite emergency medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 3:59 a.m., as confirmed by the Tarrant County medical examiner's office. The two other people who were injured in the shooting were later located at local hospitals.
In the aftermath of the deadly shooting, authorities began an investigation into the events that led to the violence. However, no suspects have been publicly identified or arrested in connection with the incident.
