On the morning of September 8, 2025, Fort Worth police were called to an apartment complex in the Ridgmar area, in the 6500 block of Tomstock Drive, where they found Keith Charles Carter, 60, a male who was Black/African American, on a staircase with a gunshot wound to his upper body; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
