In the early morning hours of Sunday, March 1, 2026, a burst of violence shattered the quiet of a Marshalltown, Iowa neighborhood. Inside a residence on North 11th Avenue, a shooting incident unfolded, leaving four people injured. One of the victims, 33-year-old Gage Duane Gersema of Mount Pleasant, was rushed to a local hospital with critical injuries from the gunfire.
