Mario Murillo, a 28-year-old White/Caucasian man from Marshalltown, Iowa, was killed in the early hours of April 19, 2024, in a shooting at a residence at 2645 182nd Street north of Marshalltown. Marshall County deputies were sent to the home at about 1:45 a.m. after a caller requested a welfare check on his brother, whom he had not heard from since the previous afternoon.
