In the early hours of a spring morning in Marshalltown, Iowa, the life of 28-year-old Mario Murillo was tragically cut short. On April 19, 2024, Marshall County Deputies were dispatched to a residence at 2645 182nd Street for a welfare check. Upon their arrival at approximately 1:45 a.m., they discovered the bodies of Murillo, a White/Caucasian male, and 33-year-old Frances Tillie Gasca. Both had been shot and were pronounced deceased at the scene, launching a double homicide investigation.
