In the early morning hours of August 14, 2010, a scene of celebration turned into one of tragedy at the City Grill restaurant in downtown Buffalo, New York. Inside, a party was being held to honor the first wedding anniversary of Danyell Mackin and his wife, Tanisha. The joyous occasion, however, was cut short by a dispute that led to a mass shooting, leaving an indelible scar on the city.
