In the early morning hours of March 8, 2026, the life of 26-year-old Demetria Ingram was tragically cut short in Wilmington, North Carolina. Just before 1:30 a.m., the sound of gunfire pierced the night on Dawson Street. Officers, alerted by a ShotSpotter activation, arrived at the 1300 block of the street to find Ingram suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the immediate response, her injuries proved fatal.
