On a spring afternoon in Grand Junction, Colorado, 24-year-old Denise Oliverson, a white female, left her home for a bicycle ride. It was April 6, 1975, and following an argument with her husband, she intended to ride her yellow ten-speed bike to her parents' house to cool off. She never made it.
