On a late September day in Grand Junction, Colorado, the quiet of a residence on 28 1/2 Road was broken by a grim discovery. Inside the home, authorities found the bodies of 65-year-old Tori Godina and 38-year-old Brian McCarty, both of whom had been fatally shot. The Mesa County Coroner's Office was called to the scene on September 23, 2025, to begin the process of determining the circumstances surrounding their deaths.
