Sylvia went missing in 2018; her son has been charged with her murder
Sylvia Frens, an 82-year-old woman from Grand Junction, Colorado, was reported missing by her family in May 2018. Her disappearance remained a mystery for four years until April 26, 2022, when the new owner of her former residence discovered a trash bag inside a manhole on the property. DNA testing later confirmed that the remains inside were Sylvia’s, and her death was ruled to have been caused by blunt force trauma to the head.
