On a Sunday evening in San Antonio, Texas, a family's regular weekend gathering at a park in the Highland Farms neighborhood took a tragic turn. Fourteen-year-old Hispanic male, Isaias Trevino, had left the park with a friend to ride electric scooters, a common pastime for the two. The evening of February 15, 2026, would, however, be his last. At approximately 7:50 p.m., in the 4700 block of Georges Farm, an unknown individual confronted and attacked Isaias after he and his friend had stopped
walking.
The encounter quickly escalated into a physical altercation. The assailant then produced a handgun and shot Isaias in the upper body before fleeing the scene on foot. Emergency services were called, and the teenager was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead from gunshot wounds to his chest and abdomen. The San Antonio Police Department, with the assistance of their Eagle helicopter, conducted a search of the area but were unable to locate the person responsible for the fatal shooting.
In the wake of the tragedy, Isaias's family is left grappling with the sudden and violent loss of their only child. Described as a sweet and silly teen who loved his dogs, Isaias was a student in the Judson Independent School District, having attended Paschall Elementary and Kirby Middle School. As of now, the suspect remains at large, and the San Antonio police have not released a description of the individual. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward as a family and community mourn and await answers.
