In the late hours of a Thursday evening on Hilton Head Island, a burst of gunfire shattered the night's tranquility, leading to a tragic discovery. Beaufort County Sheriff's deputies responded to reports of shots fired on Lark Street around 11:30 p.m. on February 19, 2026. Upon their arrival, they found the bodies of two individuals, Catherine “Cassie” Warrington, a 50-year-old female, and David Duffey, 62, outside a residence.
