In the late spring of 2012, a joyous park gathering in Buffalo, New York, turned into a scene of tragedy, forever altering the lives of a local family. Marquayle Lee, a 26-year-old male, was enjoying a picnic with family and friends at Martin Luther King Jr. Park on May 12th. The group was celebrating a birthday and the return of a friend who had been away. Their celebration was violently interrupted when a gunman opened fire on the crowd of over 100 people.
