On a rural road in Effingham, South Carolina, a 40-year-old woman named Dana Marie Kinlaw was discovered dead on January 22, 2026, the victim of a brutal and calculated ambush. Believing she was meeting someone to purchase a puppy for her family, Kinlaw had traveled to Atlantic Road near Springbranch Road, accompanied by a 19-year-old acquaintance, Iryanna Jarissa Fleming. The promise of a new pet, however, was a deceptive lure into a deadly trap.
