On a winter morning in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the life of 13-year-old Michael Kilpatrick was tragically cut short. On January 27, 2026, the young male, his 15-year-old brother Cameron, and their mother, Jacqueline Neill, were found fatally shot inside their Worden Street home. The initial report to authorities came from Charles Broomfield, the 44-year-old fiancé of Jacqueline Neill, who made a distressed 911 call around 7:45 a.m.
