In the early morning hours of January 28, 2026, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a neighborhood on Harmon Highway in Peoria, Illinois, leaving a devastating toll. Inside a residence in the 3400 block, 44-year-old Davelle M. Wilder was fatally wounded in a violent double shooting. Another woman at the scene was also struck by gunfire, sustaining an injury to her leg.
