Michael T. Shipley, a 30-year-old male from Peoria, Illinois, was found dead on February 6, 2019, with an apparent gunshot wound. The Peoria Police Department responded to a wellness check at his residence on West Thrush Avenue, where they discovered his body. Shipley, who was of African American descent, was pronounced dead at the scene.
