Deandre M. Blocker, Sr., a 50-year-old resident of Peoria, Illinois, passed away on November 25, 2023, due to a fatal shooting. The incident occurred on Saturday night in the East Bluff area of Peoria. According to Peoria County Coroner Jamie Harwood, Blocker was identified as the victim on Monday following the incident.

The shooting took place in the 600 block of E. Frye, where Peoria Police officers responded to two ShotSpotter alerts around 9:45 p.m. These alerts indicated that four ...
