On March 29, 1979, Kathy Halle, a 19-year-old woman from North Aurora, Illinois, left her home on Volks Court to pick up her sister at the Northgate Shopping Center in Aurora. However, she never arrived at her destination. Her disappearance led to an extensive search, but it was not until April 24, 1979, that her body was discovered in the Fox River.
