Maritza Cazares, a 19-year-old Hispanic woman from Aurora, Illinois, tragically lost her life on July 26, 2019. Maritza was sitting on her front porch in the 400 block of East Benton Street when she was fatally shot. The incident occurred just before 10:30 p.m., and when police arrived at the scene, they found Maritza with multiple gunshot wounds. She was immediately rushed to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
