Debra Colliander, a 25-year-old woman, was abducted on June 23, 1980, from the parking lot of a shopping center in Aurora, Illinois. She was taken to the apartment of Bruce Lindahl, a suspected serial killer, where she was raped. Colliander managed to escape after Lindahl fell asleep and reported the crime to the police.
