In the quiet evening of December 28, 2025, tragedy struck in Desert Hot Springs, California, when 34-year-old Francisco Lemus was fatally shot. The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. in the 66000 block of Avenida Cadena, where Lemus was discovered inside a vehicle with gunshot wounds. First responders arrived at the scene to find him, and he was pronounced dead.
