Edward Stefan Kislo, a 50-year-old detective with the Los Angeles Police Department, tragically lost his life on August 23, 1992. Kislo was responding to a call from his neighbor, Fredricka Haymaker, who reported hearing suspicious noises in her backyard. Despite being off duty, Kislo went to investigate the situation.
