An Abington Township resident, Dion Travis Abraham, a 39-year-old man, was fatally shot on the evening of December 29, 2025, in Philadelphia's Tioga section. The incident occurred around 8:00 p.m. when police were dispatched to the 1700 block of North 17th Street near Erie Avenue after receiving a report of a person with a gun. Upon arrival, officers found Abraham inside a parked silver 2008 Nissan Maxima, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and legs.
