The homicide of Brian Littles on August 5, 2013, was part of a violent turf war between rival drug distribution groups in West Philadelphia. Littles, a 33-year-old member of the group known as "the Grounds," was fatally shot by Bryant Calloway, a member of a competing group known as "the Pit."
