In the early morning hours of New Year's Eve 2025, a dispute in west Charlotte escalated to violence, ending the life of 31-year-old Quentin Stowe. The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. near the Capitaine Bar & Grill on Rozzelles Ferry Road. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and discovered Stowe at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the location.
Reports indicate that a fight involving Stowe and other individuals broke out while he was eating at the restaurant. During the altercation, shots were fired, fatally wounding Stowe. A neighbor mentioned that the area had been a source of previous disturbances, including fights and public intoxication, leading them to contact the police in the past.
