In the early morning hours of New Year's Eve 2025, a dispute in west Charlotte escalated to violence, ending the life of 31-year-old Quentin Stowe. The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. near the Capitaine Bar & Grill on Rozzelles Ferry Road. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers responded to a call regarding an assault with a deadly weapon and discovered Stowe at the scene with multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location.
