Detreye Kenjuan Walker, a 48-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on December 2, 2021, in southeast Charlotte, North Carolina. The incident occurred shortly after 5:15 p.m. in the 6600 block of Lawyers Road. According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department , the victim and the suspect were known to each other. The details surrounding the motive for the shooting were not immediately disclosed by the authorities.
