Ontario Shukur Redfern, a 25-year-old African American male, was tragically killed on August 5, 2022, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Redfern was found dead from multiple gunshot wounds at an apartment complex on Avebury Drive around 2 a.m. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. This incident occurred just months after his release from incarceration in January 2022 and the death of his mother, Teresa Redfern, in April 2022.
