In the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina, on the evening of January 3, 2026, a dispute inside a popular restaurant named Mac's Speed Shop located on North McPherson Church Road took a tragic and fatal turn. Daniel Nakamoto, a 45-year-old Asian man, was shot and killed during the altercation. His brother, Timothy Nakamoto, aged 43, was also shot and later succumbed to his injuries at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Daniel was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident.
