In the early afternoon of Tuesday, January 6, 2026, William Stanley, a 46-year-old man, was fatally shot in an act of violence outside a convenience store in Decatur, Georgia. The incident occurred around 12:40 p.m. in a commercial area on the 2500 block of East Wesley Chapel Way. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Mr. Stanley suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the location.
