On the evening of January 8, 2026, the life of 25-year-old Xavier Lott, a Black male, was tragically cut short in a fatal shooting in Clayton County, Georgia, a suburban area south of Atlanta. The incident occurred in the parking lot of the Gardenwood Apartment Complex located in the 2000 block of Garden Wood Court. When Clayton County Police officers responded to the scene, they discovered Lott with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location.
