Mark Anthony Cross, a 31-year-old African American male, was a dedicated police officer with the Atlanta Police Department. On April 23, 2005, Officer Cross was tragically killed in the line of duty. The incident occurred in the Adair Park Historic District of Atlanta, an area notorious for narcotics sales and violence.
