In the late hours of a February night in 2016, a 33-year-old man named Larry Cooper was walking home from a store in southwest Atlanta, a simple act that tragically turned into his last. As he made his way through the familiar streets of his own neighborhood, he was suddenly and violently targeted in a drive-by shooting. The sound of gunfire shattered the quiet of the evening, and Larry Cooper was left lying in the middle of Pinehurst Terrace, his life abruptly ended.
